Payments are accepted in person Monday – Friday 8am-4pm at the Village Office, 425 Mary Street, Clayton NY 13624. After hours, please use the drop box located outside of the Clerk’s Office Entrance – please DO NOT PUT CASH in the drop box.

You can access your account through our customer portal. In the customer portal, you can see current account balance detail, payment history, usage history and pay their bill. You can also set up your account for e-billing vs paper billing. To set up an account, click here (https://clayton.authoritypay.com/) and click on “set up online access”. You will need your account number and CID (Customer ID) found on your bill to setup your portal account.
Credit Card Payments Made in Office or Online
The Village of Clayton offers the convenience of accepting MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Visa credit cards for Village property taxes, water/sewer utility bills, and other fees.
The payment processing company charges a convenience fee of 2.65% (or $3.00 minimum fee) to cardholders who use this service.

Electronic Check Payments
IMPORTANT: When Payment Options appears, click on the “Switch to Pay with Check” link and then continue entering your information.
The Village of Clayton now accepts electronic check payments using our online payment service. Payments will be charged to your checking or savings account at your bank. You will need your 9-digit routing number, as well as your account number from your personal checks (see example below).
A per transaction convenience fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.
