HISTORIC DISTRICT PROJECT UPDATES: VIEW FLYERS BELOW
TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE (1 WAY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS REMOVED):
As of Monday, October 12, 2021, the “One Way” travel restrictions that had been in-place on: James Street – from Mary Street to Riverside Drive, Riverside Drive – from John Street to Webb Street, and Webb Street – from Riverside Drive to Hugunin Street has been rescinded and the original TWO-WAY TRAFFIC PATTERNS HAVE RESUMED.
HISTORIC DISTRICT SOD NOTICE:
With work on the project nearing completion, the contractor is installing the new sodding. Although property owners are anxious to work on their landscaping, new sod is very sensitive to stress and requires time for the root system to establish. For at least the first 14 days, it is recommended that people stay off the sod and not perform any mowing to it. Once mowing begins, mowing on the highest setting is least stressful to the new sod and should never be more that one-third of the grass blade height. Considering the time of year and to allow the sod a chance to successfully grow, it is further recommended that property owners not mow the sod until spring. We appreciate your continued help in making this project a success.
