Who would have ever thought that 2009 would be bringing the celebration of the Village of Clayton, 100 years? Members of the Clayton Centennial Committee are in the planning stages for a Cheese Days to remember,
and we hope you can join us. Memoribilia Items will be available throughout the Centennial Weekend.

Thursday, June 18, Community Ed sponsored area garage sales, Old Tyme Music, Pie and Ice Cream Social, Basket Auction, Talent Show/Lip Sync, Beard/Mustache Growing Contest, Evening DJ, "Oscar" the MEchanical Bull, spomsored by Admiral Inn and more.

Friday, June 19, More Garage Sales, CAN-DO sponsored Farmer's Market/Arts & Crafts show, Fire Dept. sponsored Garden Tractor Pull, Kid's Pedal Tractor Pull, and Firefighter's Dance at the Fire Hall.

Saturday, June 20, Faith Lutheran Church Pancake Breakfast, Centennial Opening Ceremony, Grand Parade, Civil War Encampment, Moon Lake Thresherman's Display, Clayton School All School Reunion, CAN-DO sponsored Farmer's Market/Arts & Crafts Show & Live Band "Inside Out Band" at the ball field, Fire Dept. Tractor & Truck Pull at the Fire Hall.

Sunday, June 21, Community Breakfast, Fire Dept. Muster, Lions Club sponsored Demolition Derby.

There are many other events in the planning stage for the weekend including the Queen's Coronation, Grand Marshall/Centennial King/Queen, Ball tournaments, Wood Carving Demonstration, Performance by the Clayton Gold Show Choir, All School/Community Chorus (Join us in song), Old Fashion Plate Drop and the Miss Clayton Queen's Coronation,.

OFFICIAL RULES:

The winners will be determined by the applause of the crowd or a tape measure.
Entrants can enter more than one category.
The Beard and Mustache Growing Contest is not gender specific.
Cash Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each category.

Area Activities

Throughout the school year the Clayton School District provides a center around many activities for all ages including sporting event competitions, seasonal concerts, programs, and performances. Many other activities are also planned through the Clayton Community Education program, such as Hands On Classes, Santa Day, bake sale, Cheese Days, Garage Sales, summer recreation, and many other various events.
